FSC is a not-for-profit membership-based organisation that brings people together to find solutions to the problems of bad forestry practice. The assurance standards is to ascertain that the paper used can be traced back to forests where these products are harvested from,
to ensure that the come from a well-managed source that engages sustainable forestry measures or responsible forest management.
Over 90 million hectares of forests in over 70 countries have been certified according to FSC standards.
